Spittin Chiclets

On this first Monday episode of the season, the guys are joined by a star studded, very rich group of NHL hockey players. First, the new captain of the Arizona Coyotes, Oliver Ekman-Larsson joined the podcast to talk about his career and the upcoming year, as well as living with Biz last season. The boys then do a Pacific division preview, breaking down every team in the division and then wrap up with a great interview with Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin.

On this week's episode, the guys are joined by reoccurring guest and former Nashville Predator Eric Nystrom. The guys get into what Eric is up to now, going back to school, the cons of working in a front office, his dad, and much more. The guys also touch on all the news that has been breaking around the NHL. Erik Karlsson being traded to San Jose, Max Pacioretty being traded to Vegas, Seguin's new deal, and Stevie Y are all on the agenda. Tune in for the guys last Friday podcast, as we will be moving to two episodes on Monday and Thursday starting next week.

On this week's episode, the guys are joined by Brayden and Luke Schenn to wrap up the last of the Kelowna interviews. On this week's episode, Biz is on the road for his annual 24 hour drive from Vancouver to Arizona, so he calls in to join the boys to talk PGA Championship, some NHL news about some recent signings, NBC releasing their NHL schedule and much more. The guys are also joined by Tyson Jost of the Colorado Avalanche and Blake Comeau of the Dallas Stars for a great interview with the two former teammates.

On this week's episode, the guys are joined by some legendary guests. First up, they are joined by Devils forward Brian Boyle to talk about his career, his sickness, life off the ice and more. Then, on another addition of Kelowna Diaries with Biz, he's joined by long time Ottawa Senator Wade Redden, to talk about what it was like to play 1000 games in the NHL, his experience with the Boston Marathon bombings, and more. The guys also get into their usual shenanigans which includes Ryan almost fighting a 10-year-old on Nantucket

On this week's episode, the guys are joined by former NHLer and author Terry Ryan. Terry talks about his book “Tales Of A First-round Nothing: My Life as an NHL Footnote”. The guys also talk about Terry's career and what it was like to be an early 1st round pick, plus some crazy stories along the way. The Fellas wrap up with some NHL talk and some talk about Paul's recent trip to Boston.  

On this week's episode, the guys celebrate episode 100 with interviews with recently signed St. Louis Blues Defenseman, Joel Edmundson along with 2011 Stanley Cup winner and current Edmonton Oilers forward Milan Lucic. The guys talk about arbitration and what its like for players to experience it and they get Joel's take on it. Joel also talks about the loaded roster the Blues have headed into next season. The fellas talk about the 2011 cup with Looch and get an overall recap of his time in Boston. Milan also joins Whit for a new addition of bashing basketball.

On this week's episode, the guys are joined by Pat Maroon, who recently signed with his home town St. Louis Blues. Pat tells some of the back stories about how the deal came to be, some of the factors that went into him signing a one-year deal, how excited his son was and much more. The guys also recap Whit's golf trip across the pond and Biz & Grinnelli's trip to British Columbia. The guys wrapped up with the horrible news about the passing of Ray Emery and some NHL news.

On this week's episode, the guys are without Whitney, who is on Karlsson watch over in Europe. Meanwhile, the boys were joined by former NHL tendy Jason LaBarbera. The guys talked about some of the crazy rosters Jason has been apart of as well as some crazy stories from those teams. With it being the summer, the guys dropped the hockey talk for a little and were joined by Paul's friend “Arch Bishop” who gets paid by people with foot fetishes. Some crazy stories and we learn how people are actually making money off this.

On this week's episode, the guys were joined by Chris Johnston of Sportsnet to break down the John Tavares signing in Toronto. The boys were also joined by Frankie Borrelli to hear how he is doing after his favorite player left him and the Islanders. The fellas also touch on some of the big name free agents who have switched teams this off season.

The boys are also joined by New York Rangers forward Kevin Hayes for the entire episode. On Episode 95, we're happy to bring you the #2 U.S.-born goal scorer in NHL history, Keith Tkachuk. Big Walt called it like he saw it when he played and, thankfully, nothing has changed. In one of the more entertaining interviews we've conducted, Tkachuk talks about what it's like to have two sons become first round draft picks, when he first recognized their talent, what wisdom he imparted on them, why Chris Pronger was a prick to practice against, why Pronger is one of the best ever, the difference in young stars from his day vs. today, losing a bunch of chiclets for the first time in his career...two months before retirement, playing for Herb Brooks, almost finishing his career in his hometown, what his draft day was like, and a shitload more. This was a fun one. The fellas also break down the Domi/Galchenyuk and Hoffman trades, Trotz to Long Island, and issue an apology for a mistake on the previous ep.

On this week's episode, the guys are joined by King Clancy Memorial Trophy Nominee Jason Zucker for an NHL Awards themed episode. Jason talks about the past year in Minnesota, playing with the team his whole career, who the funny guys are in the locker room and more. The boys then give their NHL awards predictions. From the Hart Trophy to the Jack Adams, the guys break down all the awards and give their predictions as to who will win each one. Ryan is also convinced that Pavel Bure wears number 94 while Grinnelli's landlord comes barging in mid episode. A great episode to kick of NHL awards week and the offseason.

On Episode 93, the guys open up with the dual PR disasters coming out of Canada's capital. Ottawa Senators assistant GM Randy Lee was accused of giving an unsolicited shoulder rub to a 19-year-old hotel shuttle driver and allegedly made lewd comments regarding his (Lee's) wrench as well. Meanwhile, Melinda Karlsson filed for a peace bond (Canadian restraining order, roughly) against Mike Hoffman's longtime fiancée Monika Caryk because Caryk is alleged to have made some preposterously crazy comments online regarding the Karlsson's stillborn child. Several other WAGs backed Karlsson's account. And that's just the tip of the (alleged) lunatic iceberg and another indication of how quickly it's fallen apart for the Sens. The fellas also discuss the Islanders/John Tavares situation before Biz interviews Nello Ferrara about his wild ride through the minor leagues. 

On Episode 92, the guys catch up on a few non-Stanley Cup topics before diving into the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals wild, cross-country celebrations. For an insider perspective, Caps winger and certified man missile Tom Wilson joins the show to fill us in on all of the shenanigans taking D.C. by storm and well as some stories from the Cup run. Next, PFTCommenter checks in to give us the rundown on his trip to Vegas for the Cup-clincher, how exactly he managed to sip from the silver chalice, and a bunch more. Our guy Nate (upper body) also joins us to chime in on his parade plans, his heavy-duty blogging weekend, and his mission to drink from the Cup. 

This week's Friday episode was recorded right after the Washington Capitals won their first Stanley Cup so we kick it off by breaking down the game and the series to explain why D.C. was better than Sin City. Our guest Sheldon Souray, a certified man rocket, then joins us for a lengthy chat about his career including: what it was like to wear the bleu blanc et rouge, what he misses about the game, his time in Edmonton, the current state of the game, Montreal, and a story about the legend himself, Bob Probert.

This week's first episode breaks down Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final and why Washington now has a stranglehold on the series. On Episode 89, the guys break down the Stanley Cup so far (after deserved praise for Alexander Mogilny). They also discuss the increased ratings, Braden Holtby's amazing, series-altering save, and much more. Biz also chats with two former teammates he won a Calder Cup with who are now facing each other for the same trophy again. Whits also brings in bashing basketball for its Chiclets debut.
